Zielanis fourth grade students learn about the farm machinery used at Majestic Crossing Farm.

Fourth grade students at Zielanis Elementary School recently enjoyed several activities involving Wisconsin State History.

On Thursday, May 3rd the students went to Majestic Crossing Farm in Sheboygan Falls. There students learned about cow nutrition, the importance of milk in our diets, how cows are milked, pet some calves, and learned about farm machinery. The fourth grade students would like to thank the PTP and Sheboygan County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee for making this field trip possible.
On Friday, May 4th, Mr. Kyle Koll, a cheese grader from Sargento presented to the students about how cheese is made and demonstrated how he checks the quality of the cheese. Students were also able to practice their cheese grading skills by taking a sample of cheese from a large block of cheese. Thank you to Mr. Kyle Koll and Sargento for the presentation.
